My first cross-stitch

this was the first cross stitch i had ever done. Sorry i cant turn the picture round on my phone :( there are a few mistakes on it such as the eyes because i cant do french knots but overall i thought it was well done :)

how I came about being a cross-stitcher

Well it all started when i finished uni. You have to realise that I have always wanted to learn how to cross-stitch but I never found someone that did it. It seems that cross-stitch is more for the older generation and I would like to point out that some of us younger people do it too. Also it would be nice to see some more younger cross stitcher's.

My friend Sam (Who i used to live with) does cross-stitch. Shes also about my age, maybe a bit younger. I never realised she did it, until she got one out one day, so i asked her to show me. We went to John Lewis to buy my first cross-stitch, which was a giraffe. I think now though I should of picked a simpler design though....I'm now on my way to making my second one which is for a friends birthday :) Pictures coming soon!!
